Luo Jian, male, was born in Guilin, Guangxi in 1959. He studied calligraphy since childhood and later focused on traditional Chinese painting. His calligraphy is mainly official script, and he also writes seal script, regular script and cursive script. His writing style is full of variety and strong. Ink painting is also unique, and he is especially good at creating landscape paintings that combine freehand brushwork and meticulous brushwork. This exhibition features 30 calligraphy works and 70 traditional Chinese paintings by Luo Jian. One of them is a 35-meter-long landscape painting depicting the scenery of the mountainous countryside in northern Guangxi. It shows the artist's profound life accumulation, unique style and understanding of art. Relentless pursuit.
Luo Jian held his first calligraphy and painting exhibition at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing in August 1996. In October 1993 and January 1997, he was invited to Taiwan twice to hold calligraphy and painting tour exhibitions and art exchange activities, which caused great repercussions on the island. In January 2003, a calligraphy and painting exhibition was held in Shenzhen. His representative works were compiled into "Luo Jian's Painting and Calligraphy Collection" and officially published.
