Mencius Lake has a total surface area of 400 hectares and a total storage capacity of119.6 million cubic meters. The whole reservoir area consists of four parts: majestic river dam, vast water surface, two flood discharge tunnels and hydropower station in the reservoir area. When entering the reservoir area, a magnificent river dam first came into view, giving people the feeling of "mountains and heavy waters are suspicious and there is no way".
The five vigorous characters of "Dahushi Reservoir" written by the famous calligrapher Li Guimin on the dam are particularly conspicuous. There are two 172 stone steps on the outer layer of the levee, which can reach the dam top from the dam bottom respectively.
