In the fifth year of Yuanfeng (106 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty hunted Huoshan, established Qian County, and decreed that Huoshan was Nanyue Mountain. Because in ancient times, Huoshan was set by the Han Dynasty as the fiefdom of Han Dynasty Liu An - Hengshan Kingdom , Nanyue Hengshan Mountain comes from this. Therefore, Guhengshan also attracted many celebrities and poets to come here to explore the wonders, and left many confusing stories, such as He Zhen, Du Yi, Zuo Yuanfang, Li Bai, Pi Rixiu, Lu Dongbin, Su Shi, Feng Menglong, etc. When Su Shi, the great writer of the Northern Song Dynasty, went to Hubei and passed through Hengshan Mountain, he left an eternal masterpiece on the submersible platform on the bank of the Dongpi River - the three characters "Little Red Cliff", which added a beautiful scenery to the ancient Hengshan Mountain. In 1936, Mr. Yu Youren, a veteran of the Kuomintang and a great calligrapher, heard about this scene and happily wrote the three characters "Xiao Nanyue". Fifty years later, Mr. Yu's son-in-law Qu Wu also wrote a 56-character long couplet for Nanyue Mountain. The original Buddhist Association of China The president, Mr. Zhao Puchu, also inscribed a plaque on the Nanyue Temple, adding some beautiful scenery to the ancient Hengshan Mountain.
