The school was founded in 1999 by the merger of the School of Cultural Communication of Sichuan Normal University and the International Business School of Sichuan Normal University. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2004, it was established as an independent college, and transformed into a independent undergraduate course college in 20 14.
