"There are Wutai to watch the temple in the north, and Wulao to watch the scenery in the south." I have long heard that Wulaofeng is a national scenic spot and a national forest park. It is located on Zhongtiao Mountain 20 kilometers southeast of Yongji City. It is in the triangle area of ??Qin, Shanxi and Henan. It is a famous Taoist mountain in the Yellow River Basin in northern my country. From a distance, it looks like five polite old people sitting around chatting, so it is called "Wulao Peak". There are many mountains here, dotted with dangerous peaks and strange rocks. The pines, sea of ??clouds, flowing springs and waterfalls are a spectacle. Wulaofeng faces Huashan Mountain in Xiyue across the Yellow River, and is known as "Donghua Mountain" and "Southern Wutai" in history. We are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city and long for an otherworldly comfort. The Wulaofeng and other tours allow us to feel the magic of nature and completely relax our body and mind.
The car turned left from the archway with the sign of Wulaofeng Scenic Area and drove onto a dedicated flat road, which looked particularly quiet against the backdrop of mountains and ancient trees on both sides. After entering the mountain gate, there are still three kilometers of mountain roads to drive on. There is a parking lot at the end of the mountain road. After parking the car, we started walking and climbing the steps.
The stone steps of Wulaofeng are neat and beautiful, and the stones are said to be specially collected from Luliang Mountain in Xinjiang County. I bought a wooden walking stick and used it to walk. When you step on the stone steps, you will make a crisp music, like the "Qin Stone" you have seen before. But when they hit the stone steps with a walking stick, there was only an ordinary impact sound, so everyone wondered whether the bottom of the stone steps was empty. We laughed and laughed all the way, admiring the beautiful scenery along the way. It was cloudy in the mountains, and the clouds and mist were steaming high on the peaks, changing everything. Sometimes a ray of golden sunlight shines through, making the trees on the slope shine with splendor; sometimes a section of strange mountains and cliffs is revealed, like a castle in the air, making it seem like you are in a fairyland from a distance. There are trees and some rare tree species on both sides of the mountain road. There is a shrub with small yellow flowers on the mountain, which looks a bit like winter jasmine, but I remember that it seems to be "forsythia", which can be used for medicinal purposes. The one with small purple flowers is "lilac", and its fragrance is very strong and refreshing. There are streams in the valley, and in some places small plastic pipes are used to divert water directly. After walking for a while, you can see a small pool. There are cement sculptures such as small fish, deer, cranes, and buffaloes on the edge of the pool. Although they are artificial, they are lifelike and add a lot of color to the small pool. There are stone tables and benches beside the pool for tourists to rest. Some stone tables also make beautiful music when they are knocked, which shows that these stones are special.
Wulaofeng has several other features that must be mentioned. First, you can often see trash cans on the roadside, so that people will not litter and pollute the environment. Second, there are very few tiresome text inscriptions on the rocks on the roadside. There are often good poems and calligraphy in the inscriptions on famous mountains, but if there are too many inscriptions, they are like cultural garbage, which is disgusting. Wulaofeng does not have these things, and most of them maintain their natural appearance. In order to encourage tourists to climb the mountain, several steep steps have been given unique names, and they are all decorated with iron-marked trees on the roadside. Such as "Staring Slope", "Hero Slope", "Victory Slope", etc., there are also a few inspiring words on the iron plate. The words are very friendly. When tourists feel tired, these words can encourage tourists to continue moving forward.
After passing the Black Dragon Pond, passing the Xinfeng Peak, and arriving at the Wulao Hall, looking around, you can see the strange peaks, the peaks and ridges, the clouds and mist, and the various scenes. While walking around, I saw Jiwa Mountain in the east. The landscape is like a big rooster leading three chicks for a leisurely walk to find food. To the west is a giant Buddha with a lifelike shape, and to the south is a fairy with a lifelike shape. Look at Shirengou, King Shun worshiping his mother, and Guan Gong riding alone for thousands of miles, all of them are lifelike. On Qipan Mountain to the south, a huge welcoming pine stretches its arms to welcome tourists. Visitors feel extremely comfortable when they are in it.
Then we started to climb the main peak - Yuzhu Peak, which is 1896.3 meters above sea level. It looks like a jade pillar standing tall in the sky and reaching into the clouds. There are more than 10,000 kilograms of iron cables hanging down from the top of the peak, surrounded by cliffs. Very dangerous. Standing on the top of the peak, you can see the mountains and small mountains at a glance, with clouds floating at your feet. The winding path up the mountain has been obscured, and the fields and villages in the distance are also faintly visible.
Wulaofeng not only has beautiful natural landscapes, but also countless cultural landscapes. Judging from the existing stone tablets, patterned square bricks used in construction can be seen everywhere. In Wulaofeng, no matter nunneries, temples or palaces, they all have high artistic and archaeological value. In addition, there are many wonderful folk stories in Wulaofeng. Legend has it that Yang Ye practiced martial arts in Xiaozhaizi during the Song Dynasty, and Sun Feihu, who was besieging Pujiu Temple, also camped here. Scholars, immortals, hermits Zhang Guolao, Lu Dongbin, Wang Zishan, etc. all have legendary anecdotes in Wulao Peak.
Reading landscapes, only by reading with your heart can you appreciate the true meaning. Being among the mountains and rivers, breathing the fresh air, and feeling the elegance of "walking to the bottom of the water and sitting and watching the clouds rise" is a joy in life! How beautiful! How happy!
