Yi Shi comes from Mandarin, which literally means that Yi Shi will be handed down from generation to generation. Khufu was a scholar of Ming Chenghua (1478) and Hu Zongxian was a scholar of Ming Jiajing (1538). They were named Yi Shi, only 60 years apart.

Hu's ancestral hall on the other side of the river was built by Hu in Longchuan to commemorate two famous ministers and Hu Zongxian in Ming Dynasty. The archway is a single wood-like structure with four columns, three doors and five floors, with a height of10m and a width of 9m. Although it was built in the forty-first year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1562), it has been well preserved so far. Yi Shi Shangshu and Yi Shi Baogong inscribed by Wen Zhiming, a great calligrapher, have high artistic appreciation value.
The Hu family in Longchuan, Jixi moved here from the aristocratic families in the Central Plains in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and lived in groups. Since the Song Dynasty, influenced by the emblem culture, the family advocates Confucianism, attaches importance to education, and takes farming and reading as partners, and both Jia and Confucianism have developed. The people are knowledgeable and have accumulated a lot of talents.
In the Ming Dynasty alone, there were more than 10 Jinshi in the family, which was called "Jinshi Village". Among them were Jinshi in the 14th year of Ming Chenghua (1478), Jinshi in the Reform Movement of 1898, Prince Shao Bao Zhong Guan, Nanjing official Khufu, Jinshi in the 17th year of Ming Jiajing (1538), and Hu Zongxian, an official of Taibao Ministry of War. The Hu family in Longchuan has also made great achievements in medicine and commerce.
