Cui's People's Anthropology

Tang Bao is a calligrapher with national influence in Shaanxi. Tang Bao has the following points worth studying:

First, we should pay special attention to respecting teachers and attaching importance to teaching. Tang Bao never forgot all his teachers, including the first and later teachers of these great artists, who always respected their teachers. This is too important. Especially after following Mr. Liu, both in character and art, I learned from Mr. Liu and learned very well. Of all the students of Teacher Liu, he is really filial to the old man. When Mr. Liu was alive, he collected a number of works for the elderly at his own expense. So at this point, Tang Bao is worth learning from all of us. First of all, it is worth learning from me. Therefore, respecting teachers and attaching importance to teaching is Tang Bao's virtue.

Second, Tang Bao has done a good job in the bank. Because we are engaged in art, some comrades are professionals, and some comrades are engaged in work at work. I'm afraid I can't do my job well and do my own thing well. On the basis of doing calligraphy well, Tang Bao handled it well.

Third, Tang Bao is modest and gets along well with his friends, but this modesty does not mean that he has no temper, and his temper is sometimes a bit stubborn, a bit like a gentleman, but he is not stubborn to his friends, stubborn to stubborn people, and doesn't even care about people with ulterior motives. This code of conduct is too good.

Fourthly, from an artistic point of view, Tang Bao focused on writing Da Zhuan. The calligraphy style of Da Zhuan is the most important part of Chinese characters, and it is also the basis of Chinese characters in China. It's harder to learn now. The difficult thing is that you have to read first, and then you have to write. If you don't have a deep understanding of China's traditional culture and ancient Chinese characters, you may make mistakes. If so, there is no calligraphy. At this point, Tang Bao has made great efforts, mainly in the following aspects: On the one hand, his birthplace is Xifu, known as the hometown of Zhong Ding's stone drums. The bronze inscriptions unearthed here and Shi Guwen are well-known at home and abroad, and have a high position in the cultural history of China. From here, he learned a lot about bronze inscriptions and Shi Guwen's art, which is from the perspective of scholarship. The second is to learn from Liu Zidu, the first-class master of seal script in contemporary China. Teacher Liu's academic attitude is very strict. First, the old man systematically studied ancient Chinese characters, and then he made important achievements in the art of calligraphy. In China, from south to north, from the Qing Dynasty to the present, Liu Lao's seal script is unique and outstanding. It is certainly unusual for Master Tang Bao to learn the essence from the art of such a good teacher and Mr. Liu. It is only a legal issue. It is not enough to just absorb the essence of Mr. Liu. On the one hand, he inherited the advantages of Mr. Liu, on the other hand, he figured out some characteristics of his brushwork and word formation. For example, he found the law of beauty from the ingenious changes of lines. On the other hand, judging from the structure of the characters, he closed the middle palace more tightly, which made the characters more tense. One more thing, he not only writes seal characters but also engraves them, not only engraves them, but also engraves them, which is very good. Since 2004, he has been a lettering member of China Calligraphers Association and a national lettering judge. From his prints, we can see his profound skill. Although there are connections and differences between lettering and writing, you can't engrave without good wrist strength, and you can't engrave well without knowing the knife method. Compared with the teacher, this is something new.
