Wang Wencheng, 1942 was born in Beijing, and graduated from the third training course of China Calligraphers Association Training Center and the ninth calligraphy postgraduate class of Capital Normal University. He is currently a member of China Calligraphy Artists Association, a member of Beijing Calligraphers Association and a director of Shunyi Calligraphers Association.
He has been diligent since childhood and likes calligraphy. He studied under Ouyang Zhongshi, a famous calligrapher in China. While taking care of his company's business, he was familiar with all kinds of inscriptions and copybooks, and copied various forms, such as canon, official script, running script and cursive script. He is good at running script and cursive script, and has formed a personal style. His works are natural and unrestrained, and his fonts strive for perfection.
He has visited more than ten countries, including Germany, Britain, France, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Japan and Taiwan Province Province of China, and held personal calligraphy exhibitions, which were widely purchased and collected by friends from all over the world, and was awarded the honorary title of "Cultural Messenger of China and Europe" by Germany. His works have been published in major newspapers and periodicals for many times, and have been compiled into the "Top Ten Calligraphy Masters in China" by the Art Center of the Ministry of Culture, and published the Collection of Wang Wencheng's Calligraphy Works.
