Li Fangyu, also known as Li Niu and Niu Weng, is the owner of the Bamboo House. He was born in Fan County, Henan Province in 1945. He graduated from the Art Department of Shandong Normal University in 1969 and further studied in the Chinese Painting Department of the China Academy of Art in 1974. He is currently a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a national first-class artist, a professional painter at the Shandong Art Museum, the executive director of the Shandong Contemporary Flower and Bird Painting Academy, the vice president of the Shandong Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a member of the Art Committee of the Chinese Calligraphy Art Academy, and a member of the Chinese Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy Academy. Honorary Chairman of the Art Research Association, senior honorary academician of the New China Academy of Art in Singapore, honorary consultant of the Chinese Painting Academy in Bangkok, and senior academician of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Academy in Tokyo, Japan.
