Lu Ji, 26 1-303, was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu, Wujun, a writer and calligrapher in the Western Jin Dynasty. He is the grandson of Lu Xun, the prime minister of Sun Wu, and his son Kang. Together with his brother Lu Yun, he is called "Erlu". After the demise of Sun Wu, he became an official in Sima's regime in Jin Dynasty, and served as a folk historian in the plain, offering sacrifices to fine wine. For example, his writings were called "Lu Plain" by the world.
Later, he died in the Eight Kings Rebellion and was killed by three tribes. His "few wizards, excellent articles" came from Biography of Lu Jin, and his two brothers were both famous writers in the Western Jin Dynasty, known as "the English of Taikang". Lu Ji is also an outstanding calligrapher, and his Ping Fu Tie is the earliest authentic celebrity calligraphy in the Middle Ages.
