Introduction to Laoye Temple
The Laoye Temple in Hequ County, Shanxi Province was built in the sixth year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (namely 1668), and it is the only well-preserved archway in Hequ County. Its style is four columns on the third floor, six arches and three arches on the top of the rest mountain, with a stone pedestal under it, with a total height of 7 meters and a width of 4 meters. It's all made of wood with gray tiles on it. The plaque reads "Great Summer" and "One Man in Ancient Times". 1962. At that time, Zheng Lin, vice governor of Shanxi Province and calligrapher, came to the river to inspect the disaster situation. It was this plaque. The county government once sent someone to paint the archway roughly. During the Cultural Revolution, Zheng Lin's plaque was removed and replaced with Chairman Mao's quotation "The people, only the people, are the driving force for creating world history". So far, Zheng Lin's plaque is now in the county cultural center.
