Li Longji (September 8, 685-May 3, 762) was the grandson of Li Zhi and Wu Zetian in Tang Gaozong, the third son of Li Dan in Tang Ruizong, also known as Li Sanlang, and his mother Dou Defai. The longest-serving emperor in the Tang Dynasty (7 12-756).

In 7 13, less than one year after he ascended the throne, Li Longji awarded Princess Taiping the death penalty, beheaded all his followers (including Prime Minister Cenxi and Xiaozhizhong) and gained the supreme sovereignty of the country. In the early days of his reign, Li Longji was a great monarch. He paid attention to bringing order out of chaos, appointed Yao Chong, Song and other sages, and made great efforts to create the prosperous time of the Tang Dynasty-Kaiyuan. Moreover, he attached importance to the jurisdiction of the frontier and consolidated the unity of multi-ethnic countries through some awards.

Gongshu in Li Longji, especially Shanbafen and Cao Zhang, is one of the famous imperial calligraphers in the history of China calligraphy. The Book of Old Tang Dynasty said that Li Longji was "good at temperament and good at writing eight points". Calligraphy is neat, clear and beautiful. It occupies a certain position in the calligraphy of the Tang Dynasty. Tang Dou _ "Shu Shu Fu" says: "Kaiyuan should be dry, smart, magnificent and magnificent. His thoughts are like a spring, and his pen is swallowing whales. " "Ancient and Modern Law Library" says: "Tang Huang Ming has eight chapters of grass in cm, and it is lush." There are many books handed down from generation to generation, among which Ode to _ _, Inscription of Mount Ji and Shitai Xiaojing are the most famous.

Throughout the history of China, emperors in their later years will be very fatuous, such as Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang. As the longest-serving emperor in the Tang Dynasty, Li Longji is no exception. In his later rule, he gradually ignored political affairs, favored treacherous court officials Li and Yang, and loved Yang Guifei. In addition, he made mistakes in decision-making, reused An Lushan and other ethnic groups beyond the Great Wall, and tried to stabilize the frontier of the Tang Dynasty, which led to the eight-year Anshi Rebellion and laid the foundation for the Tang Dynasty to turn from prosperity to decline.

Baoying died in the Shenlong Hall in Chang 'an on April 1st, aged 78, and was buried in Jinsu Mountain, named Tailing. The temple was named Xuanzong, and because posthumous title was the Supreme Sage, Emperor Daming and Filial Piety, it was often called Tang, also called Kaiyuan Emperor.
