In 1976, he entered Handan Normal School to study calligraphy and painting, and stayed at the school to work after graduation. He started learning calligraphy from Tang Kai script, and successively studied "Mysterious Pagoda Stele", "Ode to the Stone Gate", "Shimen Inscription", "Taishan Diamond Sutra", "Mr. Kang Youwei's Calligraphy", etc., and was taught by Huang Qi. The calligraphy style is solemn, pursuing the rhyme of grass and official style, taking Kang Youwei's style of writing, and absorbing the powerful ancient Mu from "Taishan Diamond Sutra".
