City College of Xi 'an Jiaotong University is an independent full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education in May 24. Relying on the strong faculty of Xi 'an Jiaotong University and the advantages of standardized and strict teaching management, the college sets up majors according to the development trend of modern science and technology and the needs of local economic and social development. Xi 'an Jiaotong University is responsible for the teaching organization and management of City College. Teachers and management cadres are mainly selected from Xi 'an Jiaotong University to ensure the teaching quality and the direction of running a school.
The College now has 9 departments including electrical and information engineering, computer science and information management, mechanical engineering, applied economy, management, foreign languages, art design, nursing, humanities and social sciences, and 3 teaching departments including mathematics, physical education and physics, with 38 undergraduate majors. By 215, there were 11,314 full-time undergraduate students.
