What does Wang Yuan mean?
Wang Yuan (1930 April 29-2021May 14), male, born in Lanxi, Zhejiang Province, is a mathematician and calligrapher from Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province. He is an academician of China Academy of Sciences, former director of the Institute of Mathematics of China Academy of Sciences, director of the research office, researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of Mathematics and Systems Science of China Academy of Sciences. Wang Yuan 1948 was admitted to the Department of Mathematics of Zhejiang National Yingshi University; 1950, transferred to Zhejiang university due to the preliminary adjustment plan of colleges and universities; 1952 to 1978 worked in the Institute of Mathematics of China Academy of Sciences as an assistant researcher and associate researcher. 1978 was promoted to researcher of Institute of Mathematics, China Academy of Sciences; 1980 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences. On May 4th, 20021,Wang Yuan died in Beijing at the age of 9 1. Wang Yuan is mainly engaged in the research of analytic number theory.
