Tickets for scenic spots Huaihai Campaign Memorial Tower are free to visit with ID card.
The tower is 38. 15m high and solemn. Large reliefs are carved on both sides of the tower. Located in the southern suburbs of Xuzhou, east of Fenghuang. Facing the morning sun, it stands tall. The tower stands in the east. The front of the tower is inlaid with nine gold-plated characters inscribed by President Mao Zedong: "Huaihai Campaign Martyrs Memorial Tower". The top of the tower is engraved with a tower emblem, and the front of the tower is engraved with an inscription. Large areas of relief on both sides. On the right is the heroic image of China People's Liberation Army, and on the left is the magnificent scene of people's heroes supporting the army. Attractions Introduction Huaihai Campaign Memorial Hall
The current Huaihai Campaign Memorial Hall was newly built in 2007. The memorial hall is large in scale, with several exhibition halls and collections of cultural relics, photos, charts, works of art and so on. The whole process of the magnificent Huaihai Campaign was displayed in stereo with sound and light. The Huaihai Campaign Memorial Hall and the Huaihai Campaign Martyrs Memorial Tower were completed at the same time, and Marshal Chen Yi inscribed the pavilion logo. This museum covers an area of 2800 square meters. The exhibition is divided into five parts: main hall, prologue, campaign implementation, people's support and memory of martyrs. More than 2,000 precious revolutionary cultural relics and historical photos were exhibited, vividly depicting the magnificent and gripping historical scene of the Huaihai Campaign.
Guofang education museum
In front of the museum, there are some retired J-5 and J-6 fighters, tanks, towed artillery and anti-aircraft guns. The museum mainly displays pictures and materials of Xuzhou Campaign in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, as well as a few pictures and models of ancient cold weapons and modern weapons.
Group Sculptures of the General Front Committee of Huaihai Campaign
The sculptures of Liu Bocheng, Chen Yi, Deng Xiaoping, Su Yu and Tan Zhenlin, the five general front committees of Huaihai Campaign, are also the symbolic sculptures of the whole cemetery.
Huaihai campaign stele forest
The forest of steles is in the northwest of the park, covering an area of 20,000 square meters. It consists of a monument pavilion, a monument wall, a monument gallery and a monument room. More than 500 inscriptions are a collection of the calligraphy of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries, the inscriptions of party and state leaders, the poems of the troops participating in the war, the poems of veterans and the excellent works of calligraphers at home and abroad, which have high ornamental and artistic value.
Xuzhou national defense park
On the south side of the park, the first phase of the project is 20,000 square meters, which consists of a national defense education hall, a weapons exhibition field, a simulated training ground and a military sports activity field. The National Defense Education Museum has five exhibition halls, including the Ministry of National Defense Education and the Ministry of Audio-visual Education. Through a large number of objects, pictures and high-tech facilities, the audience can not only learn national defense knowledge, but also participate in various military sports simulation activities.
