Dongguan, referred to as "Dongguan" for short, is a prefecture-level city and megacity under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, and the central city on the east coast of the Pearl River Delta as determined by the State Council. By the end of 2022 10, Dongguan had four streets and 28 towns, with a total area of 2,542.67 square kilometers, permanent population of10,536,800, urban population of 9710.91000, and the urbanization rate was 92.24%.
Dongguan is located in the south-central part of Guangdong Province, on the east bank of the Pearl River Estuary, with a subtropical monsoon climate between north latitude11'-1415' and north latitude 22 39'-23 09'. Guangzhou in the northwest, Shenzhen in the south and Huizhou in the northeast. It is one of the central cities in the Pearl River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen metropolitan area, the first of the "Four Little Tigers in Guangdong", known as the "world factory", an important transportation hub and foreign trade port in Guangdong, and one of the four prefecture-level cities without districts in China.
