Yes, Huai Su (737-799), a native of Lingling, Yongzhou, was a calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. He is famous for "Weeds" and is known as the "sage in the grass" in history. There is a "golden pot story" that calls him "drunk nine times a day". Whenever he is in a good mood, he writes casually regardless of walls, clothes and utensils. People call him a "drunken monk".
