Clever poetry, do not hate silence. Virtual quietness can therefore understand the changes of all things, and emptiness can therefore accept the realm of all things. I have experienced the world and walked through the world just to live in Yunling, a world far from home. Salty and sour flavors are mixed in various foods, which has a very meaningful charm. To annotate ...
Bitterness and emptiness: Buddhism believes that birth, old age, illness and death are four pains, and there is also a saying that "all four are empty". "Disciples of Vimalakīrti Classics": "There is no gain in five holes, and it is also bitter; All laws are empty. " 2 The only tip is awkward: "Zhuangzi Zeyang": "If the husband blows, there is still embarrassment; Those who blow the sword head are just embarrassed. " The flute tube can make a loud sound, such as blowing a small hole in the sword ring, but it can only make a very subtle sound.
3 burning grain: burning millet. The classic "Vimalakīrti Jing, Audience Life" reads: "Like a burnt grain bud, like a barren woman." Glumes: Ears with awns. What the author says here is that it is the duty of monks to seek emptiness and tranquility, and there is nothing to make a fuss about or be novel.
(4) Wei Bing: refers to a person with gorgeous literary talent. As a monk, why do you want to pursue the perfection of poetry art like us laymen?
⑤ These two sentences are a compliment to Shen Liaozi's excellent poems.
6 Retirement: Han Yu retired. Han Yu once wrote "Preface to Master Gao Xian" and praised Zhang Xu's cursive script: "Zhang Xushan's cursive script could not cure other skills before. He is embarrassed, sad and happy, resentful, yearning, intoxicated and bored, and his heart is moved. It must be cursive. ..... The preface of the book, it turned into a ghost, and there was no clue, which made its name hang down later. " These four sentences mean that Zhang Xu's cursive script is so spiritual because he is full of feelings and moves in the middle.
⑦ Tu Tu: Monk.
⑧ Like a well: it is a metaphor for being taciturn and indifferent to the world. This is what Gao Xian said. Still in "Preface to Master Gao Xian", Han Yu said: "If you are idle today, you will be ruined and resurrected, and you will be relieved. It is because of your heart that you will be ineffective; In the world, it will be indifferent. When you are helpless and indifferent, you are depressed and the rout is out of control. Is it in the book? " What is said here is that Gao Xian, as a monk, takes it lightly and has nothing to do with his arrogance. How can we reach the state of Zhang Xu? There seems to be a slight resentment in the words, and the context comes from "retreat".
Pet-name ruby Otherwise: it is a denial of the statement that Gao Xian's calligraphy art is not high because he can't express the spirit of "hero", just as the beauty of his poetic language is not like a dream bubble, so he turned from calligraphy to poetry.
Attending these two sentences mean: because of silence, I can know everything in my heart; Because it is empty, it can hold everything.

This poem takes the purpose of Han Yu's discussion on master Gao Xian's cursive script, but it is the opposite of poetry. Finally, it is put into practice that "poetry and law do not harm each other", which expresses Su Shi's understanding of the relationship between Zen and poetry. Generally speaking, Zen does not need words. Poetry is the art of language, and there is a great difference between them. However, in artistic practice, poets and critics have found similarities between them. Therefore, Li Zhiyi, a poet in the Song Dynasty, said in his "Pre-collection of Gu Xi laity" Volume 29 "With Li": "Zen is no different from poetry." Of course, it is not easy to distinguish the two, but there are still clues to be found. For example, both Zen and poetry pay attention to the reflection of subjective spirit. Of course, Zen is "the mind gives birth to all kinds of methods, and the mind destroys all kinds of methods", and poetry also advocates that "all scenery and words are affectionate", thus driving everything to me. Therefore, in the Southern Song Dynasty, Shi Shaosong said: "Zen people have wisdom in their hearts; Poetry, mind also. Where is wisdom and what is Zen; Where is the ambition, the shape of poetry is also. " In addition, such as the unpredictability of Zen thinking and poetic thinking, and the illogicality of Zen language and poetic language (some works that pursue "direct search" should be an exception), they are also quite similar. Zen flourished in the Song Dynasty and was deeply loved by literati. So the saying that "learning poetry is like learning Zen" has become a temporary trend. From the time point of view, Su Shi's poems are the forerunner of the trend, and have had an impact on Yan Yu's later poems, such as taking Zen as a metaphor, and so on.
