People who have been immersed in calligraphy for at least ten years will naturally talk about their own experiences or point out some shortcomings. Good experiences can be shared, and you won't comment on others' words. Even the comments are to the point and harmless, so self-righteousness is another matter.
The second kind doesn't know calligraphy, only knows whether the handwriting looks good or not, but can't tell you why. I remember the name of a sketch a few years ago, but I forgot. Who said "any word I don't know is not a word"? Even people who don't know calligraphy have at least a general understanding after reading too much. People generally judge things by beauty and ugliness, not to mention calligraphy.
There are differences between these three schools of calligraphy. I like other types of calligraphy and I will give it up. When you see it, you will say a lot about what Tian Jie is printing. Lu Zhongnan's handwriting is too fast. What's going on? Of course, I don't really understand. Personally, I think everything that exists has some truth. If you don't like it, you don't like it.
There are all kinds of cynicism, poor writing, and "statutes" and "layout", which make people look like the judges of Lanting Award. Guess their handwriting is not necessarily better, right?
Appreciating a calligraphy work, the appreciator is the subject, and the appreciated work is the object. The process of appreciation is not only to examine the artistic level of the work, but also to examine the artistic accomplishment of the appreciator. These are my humble opinions. Don't spray if you don't like it. Comments on some calligraphy are also welcome.
