A person who loves education is first of all a person who loves his country. Mr. Xiao Xia was honest and upright all his life, and he loved his motherland. When he was young, he wrote articles such as Crushing Yuan Shikai and Seeking Your Jingwei, which were published in the Daily of the Republic of China at that time, causing strong repercussions from all walks of life. In the early days of Wenshan School, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression entered a period of full-scale counter-offensive. Mr. Xiao Xia made timely use of weekly meetings and various gatherings to educate teachers, students and villagers on patriotism. He wrote the school song of Wenshan School: "Respect teacher training and enjoy friendship; Courtesy, justice and shame. We advise Qi Xin to work together and learn from each other to protect our country from foreign aggression. Remember that the three religions are wise and brave, and the nation is prosperous. "After the surrender of Japanese imperialism, when the whole world celebrated the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Wenshan sent a jubilation. Mr. Xiao Xia personally wrote the article "Eight Years of Anti-Japanese War" and preached it among teachers and students. As a democrat, he founded Wenshan School, which not only educated the villagers and benefited Mulberry, but also created a safe underground party member environment for students. After the establishment of the school, he hired several knowledgeable teachers from the provincial capital and the underground party member with great teaching experience to teach in the school, which brought new ideas and educational methods to the school at that time and effectively strengthened the education of cultural knowledge and patriotism.
"The caged bird loves the old tree, and the pond fish misses his hometown." As the son raised by Wenshan, Mr. Xiao Xia will never forget his hometown. He used his reputation and position in the field of provincial capital education to resist the Kuomintang's efforts to recruit young men in Wenshan village many times, which effectively protected the interests of the villagers. During the Kuomintang's arrest of able-bodied men, no Wenshan people were taken away. 194 1 year, as the head of Wenshan village, he sat alone at the entrance of the village, organized villagers and resisted paying the salt tax of the Kuomintang, greatly reducing the burden on farmers. During his life in Wenshan village, he deeply felt the pain of the villagers' lack of medical care and medicine. So, after he began to study, he studied Chinese medicine intensively, traveled long distances and sent medicines to the villagers for free, which won the respect and love of the villagers. Mr Xiao Xia is proficient in literature and art and is good at calligraphy. Every Spring Festival, he writes Spring Festival couplets for villagers free of charge, organizes villagers to carry out various mass entertainment activities, and provides a good spiritual food for poor Wenshan Village.
Mr. Xiao Xia wrote a life without regrets with lofty morality and resolute character. In memory of this venerable old educator, his students specially wrote a Tibetan poem to commemorate him:
Develop education with foresight,
Deliberately strategize and throw soil.
Talent, virtue, virtue,
Reading knowledge nurtures the master's heart.
Look at the new face of Wenshan,
Xia Guang has brilliantly turned into spring.
It is difficult for ancestors to start a business and the cost is high.
Sublimation must be later. (Wei Xiabang)
