Zhu emphasized poor reading, and his disciples summarized it as "Zhu's reading method" from six aspects, namely, step by step, studying carefully, swimming modestly, observing oneself carefully, working hard, and keeping respectful and determined. Among them, observing oneself means reading not only in books, but verbally, seeing and practicing in your own actual actions.
