Is it helpful to practice hard pen to improve the writing level of brush?
Many calligraphy professionals of the older generation believe that long-term practice of brush calligraphy will greatly help improve the level of hard pen calligraphy, and vice versa, because they think that hard pen calligraphy is relatively simpler and less skillful than soft pen calligraphy. But from my own real experience (first practice hard pen, then learn soft pen), my hard pen calligraphy practice process also provided great help to the later soft pen characters, so the key is to look at personal understanding, understanding and diligence, and practice is the only criterion to test the truth. Practicing hard pen writing also helps to improve the writing level of brush! Answer over!
