It is generally believed to be the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Some publications from the early Republic of China that have been preserved to this day often have slogan-like words such as "new punctuation" printed on the front or back covers. This actually shows that there were "old punctuation" before that time. Punctuation marks should have appeared in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1662~1722), and its founder was Tang Biao from Lanxi.
"Reading and Composition Methods" contains 87 articles in twelve volumes. It explains the introduction of articles and 22 methods of reading.
