What are the interesting scenic spots in Dinghu Mountain in Zhaoqing?

Dinghushan has been a famous Buddhist holy land and tourist attraction since the Tang Dynasty. In 676 AD, Zen master Zhichang, a disciple of Huineng monk, built Baiyun Temple on the old top of Dinghu Mountain in the southwest. Since then, monks have gathered here and built 36 plans around the mountain. More and more pilgrims and tourists come to worship and visit. During the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty, namely 1633, monks built the Lotus Temple in Lotus Peak. The following year, they welcomed the monks from Qihe River to the mountain for lodging, rebuilt the mountain gate, and changed the Lotus Temple into Qingyun Temple. In the Qing Dynasty, Qingyun Temple grew in scale and became the first of the four famous temples in Lingnan. Dinghushan is rich in spring water, because it is covered with dense forests, thus forming various flowing springs and waterfalls. With profound natural landscape, two streams form Tianxi Scenic Area and Mrding Scenic Area. Dinghushan Scenic Area newly developed in 1990s is called Ding Xin Scenic Area.

Dinghushan and Qixingyan together formed Xinghu Scenic Area in 1982, which became one of the first batch of 44 key scenic spots in China, and was also rated as a demonstration site of national civilized scenic spots in 1998. [3-4]

Dinghushan is divided into three scenic spots: Tianxi, Yunxi and Tianhu. Tianxi Scenic Area is the main tourist area, including Qingyun Temple, Rong Rui Monument Pavilion, Feishuitan and Double Rainbow Flying Front. Qingyun Temple, built in the Ming Dynasty, is one of the largest temples in southern China. Multi-storey building according to the mountain, with a building area of1.2000 square meters. During Guangxu period, there were more than 800 monks in the temple. There are a lot of drills, big bronze bells and 300-year-old white camellia trees in the temple, which are called "three treasures of Zhenshan". There is a highway leading to Qingyun Temple, or you can walk along the winding path and climb 637 stone steps. You can enjoy the Han Cuiqiao, Banshan Pavilion, Rong Rui Monument Pavilion and Bushan Pavilion along the way. Rong Rui, a Japanese monk, died in Dinghushan during the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty. The Rong Rui Monument Pavilion was built in memory of this Sino-Japanese friendship envoy. Feishuitan, also known as Longtan Waterfall, has cliffs on three sides, and a torrent rushes down from a height of more than ten meters, which is spectacular. In the 1920s, Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching-ling swam in Feishui Beach, and Soong Ching-ling later wrote an inscription "Where Sun Yat-sen swam".
