Brief introduction of Yu Youren's former residence

Mr Yu Youren died in Taiwan Province province at the age of 86. Mr. Wang laid the foundation for supervising government, improving agriculture, building water conservancy and educating the people all his life. He gave everything he had to his dream hometown without reservation. Mr Yu Youren is not only a pioneer of modern democratic revolution in China, but also a famous poet and calligrapher. He was addressed as "Ran Weng" and "Cao Sheng". After a long period of research, he created a standard cursive script. As a masterpiece in the history of China's calligraphy, his ink has spread all over the world, enriching the excellent cultural treasure house of the Chinese nation. 1949 After he arrived in Taiwan Province Province, he missed his relatives and looked forward to national reunification. Two years before his death, he wrote a patriotic and homesick poem: "Bury me on the mountain and look at my hometown. My hometown is invisible and I will never forget it ...". His feelings are warm and touching.

Yu Youren's former residence, which used to cover an area of 2,008 square meters, has only been restored to more than 700 square meters and has two courtyards. The west courtyard is the wing where the foster mother's wife lives. Simple and elegant, there are now two exhibition halls, Yu Youren's life story exhibition and contemporary celebrity calligraphy exhibition. The North Yard is the "Three Old and One Huai" compound where Mr. Yu Xiansheng lived. After he arrived in Taiwan Province Province, in his memoir My Youth, he quoted a poem from 1937 at the beginning: "The withered Sophora japonica blooms in the back of the hall, and the shade in front of the hall is oblique. The three old houses are still there, and I am embarrassed to say that they are in exile. " More than 600 years ago, the ancient Sophora japonica is still flourishing and lush. The humble furnishings in the three old houses can't help but make people respect the spirit of Mr. Honesty!

Although Yu Youren's former residence has no magnificent tall buildings, it can make you feel a kind of simplicity and dignity, and realize the broad mind of a great pioneer of the democratic revolution, "The world is for the public". It is the best place to promote the construction of a clean government and carry out patriotic education.
