thenar eminence

Yu Ji was one of the famous female figures in the late Qin Dynasty, and was called "Yu Meiren". Today's Shuyang County (Shuyang, belonging to Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, named after being located in the sun of the Shuhe River) is a native of Yanji Township, and it is said that it is a native of Tashi Village, Julie Town, Shaoxing County. According to the genealogy of Xiang family in Luling, Ji 'an, Jiangxi, Yu was born in Ding Chou (224 BC), died in Jihai (202 BC) and was buried in Pengcheng. Yu Ji is the favorite of Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu. According to legend, she has a beautiful face, equal talent and beautiful dance. Under the predicament of being besieged on all sides, he was always with Xiang Yu. Although Yu Ji's ending is not introduced in the history books, later generations infer that she committed suicide in the Chu camp according to the Song of Gaixia written by Xiang Yu [1][2]. From this, a beautiful myth of "Farewell My Concubine" was staged. Her story left an indelible mark in the long river of history and touched several generations. Yuji, this beautiful name, will be an immortal legend in our hearts.

Farewell My Concubine (Figure 9) In Historical Records and History as a Mirror, Xiang Liang killed people to avoid disaster and brought Xiang Yu to Wuzhong, which is Suzhou today. The Yu family is a prominent family in Wuzhong (at the end of Qin Dynasty, wuyue was set as Huiji County, and Wu (now Suzhou) was taken as the county government). Xiang Liang's uncle made friends with the children in Jiangdong here. Yu Ji (estimated to be a local aristocrat), a beautiful woman of the Yu family in Wuzhong, admired Xiang Yu's reputation, married Xiang Yu and stayed with her all the time. Or it can be said that Xiang Yu was lucky enough to know Yu Ji, and he got this beauty. Yu Ji often goes out with Xiang Yu. In the late period of the Chu-Han dispute, Xiang Yu tended to lose. In 202 BC, it was besieged by the Han army (now south of Lingbi County, Anhui Province), and the food was serenaded. Embattled at night, heartbroken. Facing Yu Ji, he drank wine and sighed in the camp: "If you pull out the mountain, you will be angry and you will not die." The lyrics are desolate and tragic, with tender feelings, which is called "Children's Song" in history. At this moment, this all-powerful figure also reveals the lament of being immersed in love and shortness of breath. Yu Ji, who accompanied him, drew his sword and danced sadly, and made peace with her with a song: "The Han soldiers have just arrived, and the four sides are singing; Your majesty's spirit is exhausted and he can't live with my concubine. " [3] Song "committed suicide" in order to break Xiang Yu's affair and arouse Xiang Yu's fighting spirit, hoping to break through successfully. Be buried in the grave after death. Today, there is a princess grave on the south side of Huali 303 provincial road in the east of Lingbi County, Anhui Province 15. This poem "Historical Records" and "Hanshu" are not collected. In the Tang Dynasty, Zhang Shoujie's "Historical Justice" was quoted from the Spring and Autumn Period of Chu and Han Dynasties and has been passed down to this day. Chu Han Chun Qiu was written by Lu Jia in the early Han Dynasty, but it was still different in the Tang Dynasty. Liu Zhifeng, Sima Zhen and Zhang Shoujie have all seen it with their own eyes, and the number of articles is the same as that in Han Shu Literature and Art Annals. This poem is compiled from this book, and there is no problem with the source of the material. Some people think that it is impossible to have such a mature five-character poem in the early Han Dynasty, which is quite doubtful. However, judging from the Song of Lady Qi and the Song of the Great Wall recorded in The Biography of Wives in Han Dynasty, there were many five-character folk songs in Qin and Han Dynasties, and they were quite mature. Wang Yinglin in Song Dynasty considered this poem as the earliest five-character poem in China in Volume XII of Historical Records, which shows its important position in the history of China's poetry. Later, a Qing Dynasty poet wrote a poem in the tone of Yu Ji: "The king is in high spirits, why did my concubine enter the Han Palace?" Blood turns into riverside grass, and flowers are redder than azaleas. "Yu Ji is so honest and loyal to love that people still praise her. Modern poet wyndell dichinson praised Yu Ji's poem: "What a beautiful day, but a beautiful woman complained at the end of her life. He still holds the thin steel knife of Wuyue, and the fragrant soul blood splashes on the bank of Wujiang River. "It shows Yu Ji's loyalty and heroic character.

history

In Yu Ji's six portraits, there are few introductions to Ji, and even her name is not introduced. Historical Records of Xiang Yu [4] records: "There is a danger of beauty." Therefore, there were two theories later: First, some people speculated that "jade" was the name of a beauty; Secondly, "jade" is a beauty's surname, which is mentioned in Ci Yuan. And "Yuji" is the name of later generations. There are also some sayings about the word "Ji", which has two meanings: first, "Ji" is her surname; Secondly, "Ji" is the laudatory name of ancient women. Concubine concubine can be classified into the second meaning, that is, the laudatory name. In short, people can only know that Yuji's name is related to the word "jade", but her real name has become a mystery [5].
