Deng Bishan painted by Eight Friends of Zhushan Porcelain Board

Deng Bishan: Male, (1874- 1930), whose name is Bi Huan, was named "Iron Skinny", a master of ceramic art in China. Yugan, Jiangxi, was a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. After the abolition of the imperial examination, he engaged in teaching in yugan county, and then went to Jingdezhen Porcelain School to teach, so he wrote porcelain characters from generation to generation and learned the painting skills of fish and algae. 1874, Deng Bishan was born in a family by Poyang Lake in jinlong town, yugan county. My father makes a living by striking iron and often goes fishing in the lake in his spare time. My mother is hardworking and thrifty, and her family is relatively well-off. When I was a child, Deng Bishan often went fishing by the river with his father. He liked fish very much. When the fun came, he squatted on the box and drew fish in the water with his fingers and fish scales with his nails, which was quite childlike and naive. Seeing that children are so clever, dad loves them very much. When he reached the age of enlightenment, he was sent to a school to study. Because Deng Bishan is smart and astute, with excellent understanding, he has made great progress in learning, practiced good calligraphy and loved painting. He often asked for some calligraphy and painting to copy and became a famous scholar in his hometown.
