Qi was born in 1940, and is a painter and calligrapher. Qi's election as a China artist on the world stamps is not only the world's affirmation and praise for the artist's outstanding artistic achievements, but also the world's high respect for China culture.

Qi loved painting and calligraphy since childhood, and studied it tirelessly for more than 60 years. He studied ancient inscriptions, and many calligraphy styles of Yan and Zhao kept coming to the pool. He took the advantages of many families and took them for himself. He has won many awards in national competitions and won the titles of "Top 100 Contemporary Painters in China" and "Top 100 Booksellers in the New Century".
