Zhang Tielin was born on June 15, 1957 in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy and later the National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom. He is a TV and film actor, calligrapher, and dean of the School of Arts of Jinan University.
