The imperial court decided to take an examination of world painters. After an imperial edict came down, painters from all over the world came to Beijing in succession. On the day of the exam, the examiner put forward a proposition: "Step on flowers and return to horseshoe fragrance", so that painters can express it according to this sentence.
At first, all the painters looked at each other and were at a loss. After a while, they began to write. Some painters have racked their brains and worked hard on the word "stepping on flowers". Some of them painted many petals on the painting and rode horses alone.
Step on the flowers and return to the horseshoe.
Walking on the petals with a horse shows the meaning of traveling in spring; Some painters have taken great pains in the word "horse", and the main body of the picture is a teenager who leaps and whips and returns at dusk; Some painters think hard and work hard on the word hoof, and draw a big horseshoe shape on the screen, which is particularly eye-catching.
Only one painter is original. He not only focused on the individual words in the poem, but also focused on the word "Xiang" at the end of the poem on the basis of comprehensive understanding of poetry. His picture is: On a sunset in summer, an official riding a horse back to the village after a day's play. The horses are galloping, the hooves are flying high, and several butterflies are chasing the hooves.
After the papers were handed in, the examiner checked them one by one. After reading a book, he was not satisfied and put it aside. I saw another one that was still unsatisfactory, so I put it aside ... When I saw butterflies dancing after horseshoes, his face immediately showed a happy smile. He even praised: "Great! Great! " So I chose this one.
Because only this painting really shows the meaning of "stepping on flowers to get rid of horseshoe fragrance" In this poem, "stepping on flowers", "going home" and "horseshoe" are all concrete things, which are easy to embody; The word "Xiang" is an abstract thing. You can smell with your nose, but you can't see with your eyes, and painting is seen with your eyes, so it is difficult to express it. None of the paintings that were not selected reflected the word "fragrance": the one that was selected, the butterfly chasing horseshoes, made people feel that it was successful because horseshoes had fragrance on flowers.
