Green grass, vast Yuan Ye, endless. The flute sounded intermittently in the evening breeze, melodious. The shepherd boy returned from grazing and had a big meal at dusk. He didn't even take off his hemp fiber, so he lay happily on the grass and looked at the bright moon in the sky.

Zhong You was a scholar. He was promoted to Lanzhou by Li Xian, but his official career was not smooth and he was demoted many times. When Zhong You was guarding Pingliang (now Pingliang County, Gansu Province), he once wandered with a Taoist and saw a shepherd boy leading a big cow to the yard. Road flyover said that the shepherd boy could write poems, but Zhong You didn't believe it. The shepherd boy improvised this poem at the request of the Taoist priest.
Poetry appreciation
The first sentence, "the grass shop is six or seven miles across the field", describes the visual experience. Looking around, the grass on the vilen is lush. The word "pave" shows the lush grass and the gentle and comfortable feeling of grassland. The vastness of grassland paved the way for the emergence of shepherd boy.
The second sentence, "The flute plays three or four sounds in the night wind", describes the feeling of hearing, listening to the sound of ears and shepherd's flute in the night wind. The word "Nong" shows a kind of interest, conveying the meaning of intermittent and melodious flute in the wind and the flute played by a shepherd boy.
The melodious flute sound reflects the relaxed mood of the shepherd boy after a day's work. If you don't see the shepherd boy, you can smell his voice first, which has unlimited imagination. The "six or seven miles" and "three or four sounds" here are not exact figures, just to highlight the vastness of Yuan Ye and the silence of the countryside in the evening.
In the third sentence, "Come back at dusk and have a good meal", the poet turned to writing and began to describe the shepherd boy directly. The shepherd boy had a hearty meal, and it was after dusk.
The last sentence "lying in the moonlight without taking off the hemp fiber" describes a scene where a shepherd boy has a rest. A shepherd boy with the earth as his bed and the sky as his account, who eats when he is hungry and sleeps when he is sleepy, has no attachments and is free. The poet only wrote down what he saw, without describing what the shepherd boy was doing when he lay down, but he had unlimited imagination.
There are scenes, feelings, characters and voices in the poem, and this vivid scene appears in the poet's field of vision from far and near; It is a short song praising labor, describing the tranquility of rural life and the hard work of herding children.
