Song Dynasty: Yang Wanli
The silence of spring is because I don't want a long stream of water, and the shadow reflected on the water is like sunny days and breezes. The delicate lotus flower bud shows a sharp corner from the water, and a naughty little dragonfly stands on its head.
Yang Wanli was a famous pastoral poet in the Southern Song Dynasty. One year, Yang Wanli went to Changzhou, Jiangsu Province to work. The scenery here is beautiful and the folk customs are simple. On this day, the poet strolled to the suburbs and saw a pond at the foot of the green hill ahead. A clear spring flows quietly into the pond from the mountain.
There are several willow trees standing by the pond, and the summer breeze blows the willow branches. Their dancing posture is reflected in the pool water, like a few lively and lovely little girls, playing around the pool water, and sometimes dressing up with the pool water as a mirror.
In the pond, a few lotus leaf buds just emerging from the water were tightly wrapped like sharp water chestnuts and floated in the water with the wind. Several dragonflies flew in from a distance and stood naughtily on it, like martial arts experts, standing on the plum blossom pile and fighting wits and wits.
