Brief introduction of Baoding

Baoding, located in the north of North China Plain, in the middle of Hebei Province, forms a golden triangle with Beijing and Tianjin. Baoding has been the "main road" of "three customs in the north, nine provinces in the south, four prefectures and the highest in the state" since ancient times. Baoding was once the capital of Zhili, the official residence of Zhili governor, and the earliest capital of Hebei Province. From 1669 to 1968, it has long been the political, economic and cultural center of Hebei. Baoding is one of the central cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Baoding is a famous historical and cultural city in China named after the State Council, with profound cultural background. There are many scenic spots in the urban area, including Dacige, Zhili Governor's Office, Qing Xiling, Langya Mountain, Baiyangdian, Ran Zhuang Tunnel Warfare Site in Central Hebei, and ancient lotus pond. There are many colleges and universities in Baoding, and famous schools such as North China Electric Power University, Hebei University, Hebei Agricultural University, Central Judicial Police College, Hebei Finance College and Baoding College have added youthful vitality to Baoding. Baoding is an open city, the first innovation-driven development demonstration city in China, a low-carbon pilot city of the World Wide Fund for Nature, an excellent tourist city of China, a national double-support model city, a hometown of opera, a hometown of swimming, a national table tennis key city, and the second batch of pilot cities in transit metropolis. It is also known as "the city of longevity" and "the city of champions", and was selected as one of the top 200 charming cities in China in 2008. Baoding Metro plans to build four "two vertical and two horizontal" subway lines in 2025, and Baoding Metro will lead to surrounding counties and districts in 2030. The new urbanization plan of Hebei Province was released on March 26th, 20 14. The plan is clear: Baoding and Langfang are the centralized bearing places of the capital's functional relief and the important bearing places of Beijing-Tianjin industrial transfer, and form the core of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration with Beijing and Tianjin.
