Hao Shijiu is not only good at making thin-walled porcelain, but also good at making antique porcelain. The pot is light blue in color and elegant in style, which is very similar to the products of official kiln and Ge kiln in Song Dynasty.

Hao Shijiu is also good at poetry and calligraphy. His calligraphy is similar to that of Zhao Mengshun, a great calligrapher in Yuan Dynasty. He decorated poems, paintings and calligraphy on porcelain, which became more and more exquisite and was loved by people. His kiln was called "Gong Hu Kiln", and all the products of Gong Hu Kiln were sought after at high prices, which made them famous all over the world. His family was depressed, and he lived in poverty and frugality, but he kept improving his skills.
