According to legend, after Taibo's death, all the people of Wu were heartbroken and wept bitterly. The people rushed to present flowers to his body, and suddenly there were no flowers all over the mountains. Many latecomers can't bear to go home empty-handed and get together to discuss. Taber loved growing hemp before his death, so everyone tied a bunch of hemp around his waist to express people's admiration and mourning. Thousands of years later, these two customs spread among the people and formed the funeral custom of Dai Xiao, the late elder of the Chinese nation. In order to commemorate the immortal feats of this great forerunner, Wu changed his residence in Meili into a temple, which is today's Taibo Temple, also known as Zhide Temple and Jean King Temple. Taibo Temple was renovated and rebuilt on the basis of the ancient temple site in Ming and Qing Dynasties. In front of the main hall, there is a stone archway built in the Ming Dynasty, and the words "To a famous country in Germany" are alarming. Lu Guimeng, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, once wrote a poem praising "Hetaibei Temple": "The city god of the old country is wicked, and pepper is honored in the central hall every year. Recently, father and son have been fighting for the world, and they don't believe that there is a king in the world. " Poets and poets of later generations have many poems and songs praising Taibo Temple.
Legend has it that the ninth day of the first lunar month is Taibo's birthday, so on this day, people in Meili area go to pay homage. In Tomb-Sweeping Day and the Meili calendar of the lunar calendar, there are even grand festivals to worship Taibai Temple.
