On March 17, the epidemic prevention and control headquarters of novel coronavirus, Futian District, Shenzhen issued a circular, saying that the epidemic situation in Shangshatangyan Village, Shatou Street, Shenzhen was severe and urgent recently. In order to effectively prevent and block the spread of the virus, and ensure the health and safety of residents to the maximum extent, after comprehensive judgment, it was decided to carry out centralized health monitoring in some areas of Shangshatangyan Village for 14 days. In the process of resettlement, professional pet foster care institutions have been entrusted to provide temporary foster care services for all kinds of domestic pets.
On April 7th, the person in charge of the organizing committee of Aichong Station was responsible for receiving the above-mentioned foster pets. To this end, they set up special resettlement houses, which are fed and basically disinfected by volunteers and professional pet medical staff. Considering the rising temperature, the street office also prepared fans and ice cubes for pets to prevent heatstroke and cool down. All these services are free of charge. In addition, pets whose owners are infected with COVID-19 virus will be separated from other pets. At present, the project has entered the final stage. Up to now, they have received 20 1 pet, including 40 pet cats/kloc-0, 52 pet dogs, as well as pet ducks, rabbits and hamsters. Not long ago, it suddenly occurred to them that they could issue honorary certificates to all 20 1 pets. We mainly want to give comfort to the pet owners who have been isolated for many days.
These pets are taken care of by volunteers and professional medical staff, and each resettlement house is equipped with air conditioner and humidifier to ensure that the temperature and humidity are within the range suitable for pets. The received pets are put into the corresponding resettlement houses. In addition to feeding the dog twice a day, the staff will arrange to feed the dog 1-2 times a day. The staff will disinfect the post every half hour during the day and check the physical and mental state of the pet regularly. If the pet has some unexpected situations and needs medication or other medical treatment, the on-site executive doctor will contact the pet owner by phone as soon as possible and take him to the intensive care area.
