The promenade of the Summer Palace starts from the Moon Gate in the east and ends at Zhang Shiting in the west, with a total length of 728 meters and 273 rooms. There are four octagonal pavilions symbolizing spring, summer, autumn and winter in the middle, which are "Stay well", "Send Orchid", "Autumn Water" and "Qingyuan". On the east and west sides of the corridor, there is a short corridor extending to the shore of the lake, connecting two waterfront buildings, Duoufang and Yuzaoxuan. There is a short corridor in the west and north, followed by an eight-sided three-story building-the first floor has a mountain view and a lake view.
