My hometown is in Maoming City, Guangdong Province, where the scenery is beautiful. My favorite is Xiaodongjiang River.
There are rows of tall trees on both sides of the Xiaodong River. They are like sentinels guarding Xiaodong, and the branches and leaves of the graceful willows are fluttering in the wind. There is a beautiful island in the middle of Xiaodongjiang River. The island is covered with green grass and looks like a green carpet. Seen from a distance, the permanent bridge on the Xiaodong River looks like a rainbow, connecting the east and west of the river. It is extremely beautiful. Vehicles were running back and forth on the bridge, making it very lively.
The river water is crystal clear and sparkling under the colorful sunlight, and you can see free fish and stones. If you take off your shoes and put your feet deep into the water, the water will feel cold, as if a puppy is licking you with its tongue, which is itchy and comfortable. Sitting by the river, you can hear the chirping of birds and the sound of wind at any time.
I really wish I could become a grass and live by the Xiaodong River every day, breathing fresh air and listening to the beautiful songs of birds.
Xiaodongjiang River is famous for its fog. Fog in the Xiaodongjiang River occurs all year round. It is formed by the temperature of the tail water after the Dongjiang Dam generates electricity. The thick fog has obscured everything in some places, and you can't see the sky or the trees clearly. In some places, it's hazy, as if it's covered with a veil. In some places, the clouds and mist stay below the valleys, forming a vast ocean of dark green. The peaks are like Penglai Island floating on the sea. There is a fog viewing platform here. As soon as we entered the fog viewing platform, we were in a world of white. The wisps of mist gently caress your skin, making it cool, moist, and extremely comfortable.
I love Maoming, and I love the beautiful Xiaodongjiang even more.
