Cui Zhiyuan's "The Fairy Red Packet", deeply influenced by the legends of the Tang Dynasty, is colorful and fantastic, with a mysterious dream as the guide to tell the wishes of the heart. Cui Zhiyuan, who lives in a foreign land, needs a kind of spiritual acquaintance and mutual recognition more than the literati in the Tang Dynasty, in order to shine an ideal light in the coldness of a foreign land. The two women died when their marriage was frustrated, and they were connected with Cui Zhiyuan's poor career and admired each other. As a result, the tea in the dream adds fragrance and becomes the most perfect interpretation of the ideal of life. In 880 AD, Cui Zhiyuan's term of office expired and he wanted to return to Chang 'an in the west. Just like when the Huang Chao Uprising happened, the rebels quarried stones and crossed the river, all the way through Tongguan natural barrier, and Chang 'an fell. There is no hope for Cui Zhiyuan to go west, so we have to find another opportunity. Under the recommendation of good friend Gu Yun and correspondence, Cui Zhiyuan entered the door of Yangzhou Gao Pian. Although the Tang dynasty has been stormy, Yangzhou is still prosperous. Business is active, life is rich, silk and bamboo are melodious, and talents are gathered. Cui Zhiyuan thus began the most glorious period of his life.
Gao Pian's literary talent is very high, and he likes to make friends with literati, so talents are gathered under the curtain. Cui Zhiyuan's outstanding talent won the appreciation of Gao Pian. During his time under Gao Pian, Cui Zhiyuan essentially acted as a private secretary and senior staff officer, drafting a large number of official documents such as letters, revelations and forms for Gao Pian. Although it is far from his professional ideal of independence and making a career, it is already a great opportunity.
In the late Tang Dynasty, it was a unique career path for literati to enter the buffer region shogunate as a civil servant and then enter the official position in a curved way. Cui Zhiyuan is an open-minded person who walks on this road. Due to Gao Pian's dedication, Cui Zhiyuan successively served as assistant minister, governor, steward, inn inspector and other important positions in the imperial palace. These are all paperwork, and Cui Zhiyuan's literary talent is fully displayed here. In May, 88 1 year, Gao Pian rose up to crusade against Huang Chao, and Cui Zhiyuan's "The Book of Ba Huang Dynasty" was read all over the world and was named "Flying Fish Bag". There is a sentence in the book, "Not only did the whole world think clearly about the massacre, but even the ghosts on the ground were condemned by Yin", and the words were sharp and sharp, which made Huang Chao, a generation of heroes, feel scared. During the five-year official tour from Yangzhou to Huainan shogunate, Cui Zhiyuan's literary creation was the most frequent and the quality reached its peak. Guibi Yuanji Terrier is an immortal work completed in this period, and it is also the only work handed down by Cui Zhiyuan. Cui Zhiyuan's poetry anthology contains all kinds of epigrams and poems he wrote when Huainan made Gao Pian pay an official visit to the shogunate. The book is rich in content and of high documentary value, which is of great historical value for us to study politics, military affairs and diplomacy in the late Tang Dynasty, especially the chaotic rule during the Huang Chao Uprising. Taking the people at that time as an example, Gui Bi Yuan Ji Geng presents a more authentic and detailed historical original ecological situation than the later historical books such as Tang Shu and Zi Tong Zhi Jian. It is not enough to achieve great works and articles, but Gui Yuan Bi Geng Ji is widely circulated because of its birth in troubled times, ups and downs, changing political situation and historical intrigue. The poems in Gui are mainly modern poems, describing Cui Zhiyuan's friendship with Pei Zan, Gu Yun, Luo Yin, Zhang Qiao and many other friends, his gratitude to the shogunate master Gao Pian, and his sincere yearning for his hometown. The expression is delicate and vivid, and the attainments are extremely high. Most of them are excellent works.
Politics in the late Tang Dynasty was further corrupted, and the Huang Chao Rebellion aggravated the disintegration of the Tang Dynasty. Cui Zhiyuan is also caught in many contradictions, and the relationship with the curtain master Gao Pian is the main problem. On the one hand, he thanked Gao Pian for his kindness to meet him. He is an important patron of Gao Pian, making his official trip smooth and his reputation growing. His ideal of helping the world in a foreign country can only be realized in Gao Pian. On the other hand, in his later years, Gao Pian supported his troops with self-respect, split one side, became superstitious about witchcraft and worshiped immortals and Taoism after his failure, which was inevitably hated by Cui Zhiyuan, who was deeply influenced by Confucianism and had an upright political ideal. Between wind and rain, Cui Zhiyuan gradually came up with the idea of returning to Italy.
