Winter Solstice in English

The winter solstice is one of China's traditional festivals and one of the twenty-four solar terms in China. It usually falls on December 21st or 22nd every year. It means that when the sun reaches 270 degrees of longitude, the daytime in the northern hemisphere will begin. The length of time is the shortest in the year, and the night is the longest in the year.
