Zhang Ning: In terms of literary value, I think the evaluation of Mu Xin is too high now. Chen Danqing's evaluation of Mu Xin should be bounded. Only from the perspective of language, you can say so. However, it is entirely possible for another author to have both classical and modern vocabulary and knowledge in his works. The integration of classical knowledge elements into modern and contemporary things is from the perspective of words and vocabulary. However, from a literary point of view, Mu Xin's writing is definitely not as high as "connecting the preceding with the following". "Literature" has its own requirements, and "language" is only the direct form of "literature". The expressive force of language is important, but the relationship among language structure, narrative structure and meaning system is an important measure of literary evaluation. Mu Xin is a painter. He has a good knowledge of literature, history and philosophy, but this is not necessarily related to literature. It can't be said that his humanistic quality is good, but his literary creation is good.
