The cold light in the hotel stayed alone and didn't sleep, and the guest turned sad.
My hometown is thinking thousands of miles tonight, and it is another year of the Ming Dynasty.

You can't sleep alone when you live in an inn. For some reason, the poet's mood became very sad.
On this New Year's Eve, imagine that the hometown people thousands of miles away miss themselves, and tomorrow they will be one year older and grow a lot of new white hair.

Zhou Xunchu dated this poem in 750 AD (the ninth year of Tianbao), on the basis that although Gao Shi traveled extensively, he was far away in Liang and Song Dynasties, only in central Fujian, Youzhou, Longyou, Hexi and Jiannan. Gao Shi was still young when he arrived in Fujian; When I went to Youzhou, I was not in the year of first frost; When I arrived in Longyou, Hexi and Jiannan, I was already very proud, which was inconsistent with the content of this poem, so I knew that this poem was scheduled to go north for the second time.
