Who knows the history of this Canaan temple or something?
Saganan Temple, built in 1280, is one of the most important buildings that integrate temple architecture and palace architecture after Guge Palace. Its architectural plane is also an altar city, and its layout is centered on the main hall Lacan Qinmo Hall. The most striking feature is the ingenious integration of the plane of the altar city and the defensive wall. The existing building of the South Temple covers an area of 45,000 square meters, which runs from east to west. Lacan Qin Mo is located in the center of the building and is the main building of the South Temple. There is a square courtyard in the middle, Dajingtang in front (west), Pubalakang (King Kong Tui Hall) on the left (south), and Oudongren Zenglakang and Lakangqiang (North Buddha Hall) on the right (north). In the middle of the east is the entrance of Dajingtang, with Gnilakan on the left and Jijiulakan on the right. There are stone steps on the right leading to the Buddha Hall on the second floor. Out of the main entrance of Lacan Qin Mo, you can walk along the wooden ladder on the left to the second floor of the main hall. There is a huge cloister with 63 paintings of Tancheng murals. The main entrance of the Buddhist temple encloses the courtyard and the cornices of the whole building, and at the same time, a large number of wooden structures such as bucket arches and finches are used. The outer side of Lacangqinmo is a turning road, the southwest corner is a monastery building, the south is Duquelazhang and Xuezalakan, and the southeast corner, which is the left side of the main entrance of Lacangqinmo, is the office building and monastery of His Holiness Sakya. In the northeast corner, on the right side of the main entrance of Lacan Qin Mo, is the Pingcuolin Building. Outside Lacan Chinmo and its surrounding ancillary buildings, there is a square wall, which is the inner wall. There are two watchtowers at the four corners of the city wall. Except for the main entrance of Lacan Qin Mo and its affiliated buildings on the east side, the rest are watchtowers. In addition, battlements are built on the city walls. Outside the inner wall is a closed turning road, and outside is an outer wall, in which Mayang City is built. At the same time, a moat was built outside the outer wall to isolate the South Temple from the outside world, thus organically integrating the temple, court and castle buildings, and the concept was extremely unique and exquisite. As Sakya Temple was the seat of the Sakya Sect in the Yuan Dynasty (1206- 1368), the defensive nature of the building was strengthened in the whole building. It is modeled after the outer city (moat) built by Wengcheng, a court building in the Yuan Dynasty, with strong and tall double walls inside and outside, and building units such as city, enemy tower and crib are also built on the walls, which not only gives full play to its role,
