The word "guilty" here means "guilty", that is to say, these people who have been protected by the Bodhisattva have accidentally committed the Bodhisattva amulet. Why did the Buddha say that these people called them? It's called Bodhisattva.
"No offense" means "No offense". In other words, the person who did not accept the precept of the Bodhisattva did not violate it. What does the Buddha mean by these people? Known as "pagans"; So whether there is a sin or not, it is called heresy.
There is a very important concept to be established here. Let's give an example to illustrate. Think about it! If we receive the precepts of Bodhisattva, one of them is not to kill anything, but we accidentally kill an animal. Although we have committed the crime of killing this small animal, while insisting on not killing, we have also kept the precept of not killing all beings in the universe, and the merits and demerits are very different. Even if we accidentally kill an animal, we still abide by the commandment not to kill. So this is the point! Because we are bound by the precept of Bodhisattva, we accept this precept, so we hold the precept of not killing all beings; At the same time, it also gives all things in the universe fearlessness. This merit is great.
The crimes committed by heretics who are not bound by Buddhist precepts are actually ten times, a hundred times and a thousand times more serious than those committed by Buddhist monks and their families, but they don't mention breaking the precepts, because they don't keep the precepts, of course, they won't break them, but all kinds of crimes are innocent.
