Zongze, courtesy name Rulin, Han nationality, was born in Yiwu, Wuzhou (now Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province). He was an outstanding statesman, military strategist and national hero at the turn of the Song Dynasty in China. In order to regain the lost land in Hedong and Hebei, Zongze not only consolidated the defense of Kaifeng, but also actively made preparations to cross the river. It was strongly recommended to return the capital to Kaifeng, but Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty, Zhao Gou and others not only refused to accept it, but repeatedly undermined their anti-gold arrangements, which made Zongze extremely worried and angry. In the second year of Jianyan's reign, he finally became ill from worry and anger, and gangrene broke out in his back. When the generals asked about their illness, he encouraged them: If you can defeat the enemy, I will die without regret. "When the generals came out, Zongze recited a famous line from Du's poems with grief and indignation: He died before he left the army, which made the hero burst into tears. "Call across the river three times in a row" and passed away forever. His posthumous title was Zhong Jian, and there is "Zong Zhong Jian Gongji" 》Handed down from generation to generation. Zongze once knew Yue Fei and reused him, which played a great role in Yue Fei becoming a famous anti-gold general.
