Which poem did Tao Yuanming write at the foot of Mount Lu?

Tao Yuanming wrote at the foot of Mount Lu:

"Returning to the Garden and Living in the Fields (Part 3)".

Original text:

At the foot of the southern mountain where beans are planted, the grass is full of bean seedlings.

In the morning, I clean up the wasteland and filth, and return with a hoe in the moonlight.

The road is narrow, the grass and trees are long, and the evening dew touches my clothes.

It’s not enough to regret the stain on your clothes, but your wishes are true.

Author: Yuanliang, also known as Qian, privately nicknamed "Jingjie", known as Mr. Jingjie in the world, was born in Chaisang, Xunyang (now Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province). A great poet and poet from the late Eastern Jin Dynasty to the early Southern Song Dynasty. He once served as Jiangzhou Jijiu, Jianwei Army Joiner, Zhenjun Army Joiner, and Pengze County Magistrate. His last official career was as Pengze County Magistrate. He abandoned his post after more than eighty days and retired to his countryside. He is China's first pastoral poet and is known as "the sect of reclusive poets in ancient and modern times". He has "The Collection of Tao Yuanming".

Original explanation:

Beans were planted in the fields under the Nanshan Mountains, but the result was lush grass and sparse bean seedlings.

Get up early in the morning and go to the fields to eradicate weeds. At dusk, under the moonlight, you go back with a hoe.

The narrow path is overgrown with vegetation, and in the evening dew wets my clothes.

It’s not a pity that my clothes are wet. I just hope I don’t violate my intention to go into seclusion.

Original text appreciation:

This eight-sentence short chapter "Growing beans at the foot of the southern mountain" expresses a profound meaning in a small space of 40 ordinary words. The ideological content describes the scene of the poet working hard after living in seclusion.

This poem is divided into two layers. The first four sentences are the first layer, which reflects the author's hardworking life and implicitly uses Yang Yun's poetic style. The last four sentences are the second level of the poem. They express the author's persistent pursuit of the ideals of truth, goodness and beauty and his break with the dirty officialdom of the real society after being tempered by life and deeply thinking about society and life.

In this poem, Tao Yuanming bravely opposed traditional concepts, broke through the old spiritual shackles, resolutely bid farewell to officialdom, resigned as Pengze County Magistrate, and did not want to be a "gentleman" who works hard to govern others; He returned home resolutely, willingly picked up the hoe, and worked hard to cultivate the acres, wanting to be a "little man" who worked hard. This fearless spirit, beautiful personality, and noble state have won the praise, admiration and even imitation of many people in later generations.
