Liu Zongyuan's top ten poems are: Jiang Xue, Going to Liuzhou Tower to Send Zhang Tingfeng to Four Counties, Hao Chu Traveling with his teacher to bid farewell to relatives and friends in Beijing, Living in the West, Farewell to Dreams, Visiting Xiang County with Cao Shi, Reading, Farewell to My Youth, Fisherman and Morning Mei.

Jiang Xue 1.

There are no birds flying over those mountains, and there are no traces of people in those paths. A boat on the river, a fisherman wearing his webworm moth; Fishing alone is not afraid of snow and ice.

This poem is known as "the first of the five poems of Tang poetry". "There are no birds in a hundred mountains, but there are no footprints in a thousand paths" is Liu Zongyuan's situation, while "a leaf boat, a bamboo cloak, an old fisherman cold river-snow" is Liu Zongyuan's insistence.

2. "Go to Longcheng Tower to send Zhang Ting to seal four states".

On the tower at the end of this town, the wilderness began, and our desire reached as far as the ocean or the sky. The hibiscus flowers beside the moat are swaying in the sudden wind, and the oblique rain is beating the vines on the wall. We can't see anything beyond 300 miles, except vague Woods and mountains, and there are nine rivers winding in our stomachs. * * * Come to Baiyue tattoo, don't even want a letter, let's keep in touch with home.

Standing on a tall building, I saw the cascading distant mountains rolling continuously, and the clear Liujiang River turned from nine to a thousand times. Four friends in the same trade were demoted, and the books were separated by mountains and green, so the books could not be delivered. It seems that the world is full of Liu Zongyuan's worries.

3. "Seeing the mountains with the master and sending friends to Beijing at Haochu".

Ying Chao on the sea is like a sword, cutting people's sadness in autumn everywhere. How can we turn this body into tens of millions, scattered to the heads of state's homes to see!

In Liuzhou, Liu Zongyuan misses not only his friends, but also his hometown. In order to get rid of his worries, on a crisp autumn day, Liu Zongyuan and his friend monk Haochu climbed the mountain to see the scenery, only to see the mountains in the four fields like swords, cutting Liu Zongyuan's worries one by one.

He initiated the "fable" style, expressing feelings and landscapes without forgetting national politics, and advocated the ancient prose movement in Tang Dynasty with Han Yu. He wrote more than 600 articles, including Eight Chapters of Yongzhou, which were included in Liuhe East Collection by later generations. 8 19 years, died at the age of 47. Later, he was made a scholar.

Liu Zongyuan's ancestral home is Hedong County (Liu's, Xue's and Pei's in Hedong are also called "Hedong Three Surnames"), and he has been an official for generations (the seventh ancestor, assistant minister in the Northern Wei Dynasty, sealing Yin Gong).

Liu Zongyuan's great-grandfather Liu and his grandfather Liu Chagong were both county magistrates. His father, Jin Ryu, was an imperial adviser. Liu Zongyuan's mother, Lu, is a land native and has been an official for generations. Liu Zongyuan has only two sisters.
