"Wo Yi Xiang" is a poem by Liu Yuxi, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. Wu Yi Xiang is located in Jinling (now Nanjing). This is a poem that chants history. It was written at the same time as the poem "Stone City". It chants the rise and fall of the kings and Xies of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
The Eastern Jin Dynasty was hit by the Wuhu Rebellion and the capital was moved to Jinling (today's Nanjing). Wang, Xie and other wealthy families were in charge of the government. They did not want to work hard to become stronger, but lived in peace, drunkenly and dreamily, competing for luxuries, and enjoying themselves and being corrupted. They built a splendid mansion in Wuyi Lane, where music, singing and dancing continued day and night. All the people who came and went were well-dressed, elegant and noble children. The family was very prosperous and prominent. The nearby Zhuque Bridge is bustling with traffic and has a luxurious atmosphere. But that is in the past.
