Bank of Korea, the central bank of Korea, announced a sample of banknotes with a face value of 50,000 won on the 25th. The Bank of Korea plans to issue this new banknote from June this year.

The new version of the 50,000 won banknote has a light yellow background, a length of 154 mm and a width of 68 mm, and adopts the latest anti-counterfeiting technology. It is reported that there is no precedent for the portraits of mother and son as monetary figures in the world.
